- My wife, Cherie, and I are raising 7 boys in a blended family. Yes, it's crazy around here! I love hanging out with family, research, writing, snow skiing, caving, hiking - anything outside. We also care for my parents and my 102-year-old grandmom. Cherie works with the Small Business Development Center by day and writes books by night. I write for my websites and write books as well.

- I'm a wisdom broker, collecting wisdom from many sources and putting it in a format useful to speakers, writers and educators. My wife and I read voraciously in biography, business, self-help and other non-fiction, indexing each book for information and stories we think will be helpful for others.

SoCon History
Jeff Haynie, Sherry Heyl and Leonard Witt launched SoCon07, in February, 2007; then came back with SoCon08 in February, 2008 with the able help of Barbara Vining and Timothy Moenk. Some 275 people registered for Socon08, so, of course, SoCon09 is already being planned.
