SoCon History
Jeff Haynie, Sherry Heyl and Leonard Witt launched SoCon07, in February, 2007; then came back with SoCon08 in February, 2008 with the able help of Barbara Vining and Timothy Moenk. Some 275 people registered for Socon08, so, of course, SoCon09 is already being planned.

I attended SoCon to learn how to use Social Networking. Here is what I said in my profile. Any comments or reactions would be welcomed.
I am retired from IBM. I am using Emory's Web Design and Development program to gain a Certificate in those two areas. I am attempting to learn how best to use Social Networking technologies and methods to help my wife market her Practice and her new book that was recently contracted with a Publisher named Seal Press. I also am interested in using Social Networking to help with an organization just being formed that I am going to lead to connect with Military Personnel (and their families) returning from Afganistan and Iraq in particular, and active duty in general, to help them become aware of the various support services the communities have available to them. Since many will not be near Military bases, the non-military communities they return to, are often not prepared for their needs and demands. I suspect Social Networking will help. But want to learn more and understand more.
Thanks!
Judy
