- I entered the world of enterprise social media back in June 2007 and am now helping to build an account team for Neighborhood America here in Atlanta. With a bachelors in chemical engineering, an MBA and over twenty years of experience in sales and marketing, I'm in awe of the speed of which the world is changing today and the impact it has on both my personal and corporate life. I know that I'm dating myself by sharing with you that I was in sales before the fax machine, before mobile phones, before laptop computers, before voice mail, before email...and now I participate in online social networks, play games online and participate in virtual worlds. SoCon History
Jeff Haynie, Sherry Heyl and Leonard Witt launched SoCon07, in February, 2007; then came back with SoCon08 in February, 2008 with the able help of Barbara Vining and Timothy Moenk. Some 275 people registered for Socon08, so, of course, SoCon09 is already being planned.
