Judy,
It was great meeting you at SoCon. My company "Nearbythis.com" provides local ads to social networks and blogs. I'm trying to tie in a mobile angle and look forward to speaking to you more about this.

I am interested in learning about how to prove value of social networking solution for the business world. I am sure that sharing pictures and stories/experiences is not going to convince corporate America to invest into social networking.

Hi Leonard. I'm sorry we did not get a chance to talk more at SoCon. I think the SoCon Network is a wonderful idea. I look forward to leading the groups on Enterprise Social Networks and Mobile Marketing. Both of those areas are right up neighborhood america's alley. We can bring a lot of knowledge to the group based upon ours and our clients experiences in both b2b and b2c environments. I also look forward to learning from all of the folks in the SoCon community to help drive the future vision and strategy. You mentioned that you would like to chat further. Please let me know how I can best help. Enjoy, Judy

Hi Judy:

Have you been following the comment discussion with Jodie Davis, Steve Cadley and me at the blog post here Why I Set Up the SoCon Network. Does this fit with your Social Media Optimization group? See my comment at that blog post of what I am hoping to do with my experiment, does it fit your group's work, Neighborhood America work? Should we be meeting face to face?

About Me:
I entered the world of enterprise social media back in June 2007 and am now helping to build an account team for Neighborhood America here in Atlanta. With a bachelors in chemical engineering, an MBA and over twenty years of experience in sales and marketing, I'm in awe of the speed of which the world is changing today and the impact it has on both my personal and corporate life. I know that I'm dating myself by sharing with you that I was in sales before the fax machine, before mobile phones, before laptop computers, before voice mail, before email...and now I participate in online social networks, play games online and participate in virtual worlds. Who would have thought....So what's next?

SoCon History

Jeff Haynie, Sherry Heyl and Leonard Witt launched SoCon07, in February, 2007; then came back with SoCon08 in February, 2008 with the able help of Barbara Vining and Timothy Moenk. Some 275 people registered for Socon08, so, of course, SoCon09 is already being planned.
